Karishma Khanal is an undergraduate student majoring in Public Health Sciences and Public Health Policy (major) at the University of California, Irvine. Her environmental governance research focuses on the health effects of pollution, particularly among children.
Khanal’s research has examined how understanding of children’s environmental health has developed over time, with disjunctive effects on governance.
Khan’s’’s current research focuses on lead, a well established environmental health hazard, and on PFAS, an environmental health hazard that only recently is receiving regulatory attention.
